Script ChorusPop for Mac

Make songs, versions and exports from Shortcuts, the terminal, Python or an AI assistant. It all runs in the ChorusPop app on your Mac.

choruspop make "[verse]
Neon on the river
Lights across the bay
[chorus]
Turn it up" --genre synthwave --mood dreamy --length 0:30 --format flac

That waits for the song, streaming progress, then writes Neon on the river.flac to the current folder.

What you can automate

  • Make songs from lyrics and a style: genre, moods, voice and instruments, or a free-form style line. 0:30 to 4:50, with a seed to make the same song again, straight into an album.
  • Make versions of a song: remove the vocals, keep only the vocals, or split it into four stems (drums, bass, other, vocals).
  • Export a song or a version as M4A, Apple Lossless or FLAC, tagged with title, album, cover and lyrics, plus a synced .lrc if you want one. To any folder or to ~/Music/ChorusPop.
  • Find songs and read their details, and follow or cancel jobs.

Scripting arrives in ChorusPop 1.0 (6). The direct download is the Download for Mac button on the home page; it updates itself from inside the app. Check your build under ChorusPop ▸ About ChorusPop.

How it works

  • Every route puts work into the app's own queue, the same one New song uses. Songs are made one at a time; a script never runs a second model or renders beside a song you started by hand.
  • The tool finds the app and opens it in the background if it isn't running. It talks to the app over a local connection with a secret token only your user account can read, so other users and other machines can't drive it.
  • Nothing leaves your Mac. The model runs on it, and the files are written by it.

How long things take

JobTime on an M3 Pro
A 0:30 songabout 1¼ minutes
A 3:30 songabout 11½ minutes
Remove vocals, vocals only or stems5 s for 0:30, under 30 s for 4:50

Roughly 1–2 minutes per 40 seconds of song. Make scripts wait on the job, not on a clock: every route can follow a job until it's done.
